Last post, See ya around later.

Hello guys. How you guys doing? Fine? For me, well, I am at the end of my semester, so my blog may stop at here. Besides, who know I might be a little busy after this. So, as for my last blog, I will give my view of  this subject, that is Critical Literacy, for me now.

To me, this subject is hard to blend in if your background is away from literature thing or somewhat. You'll find it hard to understand as it provides some outstanding, academic article, that if you not a bookworm type of person, you will stuck on what on earth is this article are talking about. Indeed, yes it need very large attention to this subject if you really want to understand this subject. Do ask your lecturer on what you misunderstood. Go for consultation. By that time you will be clearer and clearer about this subject.

If someone ask to eliminate this subject, well, I'm not agree. Because this subject is basically makes our mind to thinking, brainstorming critically—not to death for sure. This subject is the only subject that make us to dismantling the article given, make us to be some sort of a writer. This subject generates idea for the students, make us could think deeply, be rational to our every answer and also to be serious on certain things. So,if there is someone who wanted this subject to be disband, think again.

Make an activity that related to this subject is my only suggestion for this particular subject. To those student who will take this course soon, especially from KPMIM, be afraid of this subject. Why? Because when you feel 'afraid', your brain will automatically brainstorming on how to understand this subject and task given. And don't be too afraid. Hope no one suicide because of this particular subject.

Thank you for reading my blog and Assalammualaikum.

Money No Happy-Guarantee.

"If money were the only criterion by which a child's welfare can be gauged, then a baby bought for as much as RM 40,000 on the black market would seem set for life. For money-rich but child-poor couples, it is a small price to pay to introduce a small life into their home. The cot is gilded, the blanket is monogrammed, the college fund filled to the brim. All that's wanting is a bun in the oven. And where there is a baby-for-sale racket, money can indeed buy happiness. And after all, why not?" (NST, March 3, 2013)

The statement above says that money can make and give happiness to the infant if money were the only terms for the child's welfare. So, I am totally disagreeing with the opinion even though there are people who are trying to agree with it. It is because it could give many bad consequences to the baby itself, either physical or mental, if we shower them only with money. Besides, it is also a baby trafficking. According to UN.GIFT (2009), "Trafficking can result in the death or permanent injury of the trafficked baby". So, how could this statement is supporting this illegal activity? Maybe from the money, you could buy a small piece of happiness, but is it worth to buy little happiness, yet it comes from the source like buying your own "species" and make it to be your own? Human have its own right, even they are just an infant. No human can be bought just like that. Human have its own pride; they not like a pet that can be bought when they was little.

Also, this issue could give bad influence to the communities around us. It could corrupt the communities, like has been stated by UNICEF (2009) “Child trafficking has also been shown to have a major effect on communities. If multiple children in a community are trafficked, it can result in the entire community being corrupted, and thus devastated, by trafficking.”

So, by right and might, I am still with my own stand that I would never agree with the statement as this situation against the right of humanity. No one like to be sold as a a thing with no feels and heart.

Our greatest possession, greatest treasure, greatest companion.

The body is the greatest possession, the mind is the greatest treasure and the spirit is the greatest companion. Ever heard those quote? Those three determine ourselves. It is yes indeed that our body is the greatest possession. Do you realize when your body is injured, freezing or burned, you'll find way to heal it. To make it feel better, look better. Our body is the most priceless thing that have given to us by the Most Merciful to his servants in this world. As for that, we must be grateful to Him by not mistreat His gifts.

Our mind is the greatest treasure. Mind discriminate us with animals. That is why it is our precious treasure in life. Do you ever try to eat raw, hunted meat and fight with other animals to get the food? No, right? Why? Because we know that it is not our style, our method to get food. And we know how to cook. We can read, talk with different language, cook our dish, plan a strategy. All of that are because we had our own mind to think what is right and wrong, judge wisely, what is good and bad for us. For that we must know how to treat other people nicely, do what is right, preserve to the world so that we can be a person with our own stand and faith. Do be thankful.

As for the spirit, by saying that greatest companion means it is the one who give us courage, give us strength, give us faith on our life. Without spirit, all things that we do in this world will become impossible to be faced, life will be limited for us to continue, we will not be able to think drastically and rationally. So we can equate the spirit like friends, our coach, our parents or anyone that can give you the 'spirit' to keep on going. Live lively with your life. Don't let anyone make you down, and don't you make anyone down.

Stay lovely and lively.

Stereotype.

Judgemental Mind or Just Stereotype?

Hello there. Thank you for take a glance to read my blog. So, how's your day? As usual, the Malays always went work late, yet Chinese still a hard workers. Don't be mad, because I just write down the example of stereotypes on what our people keeps in their head and their mind. Even it is not right or wrong, but still, it is what most our people believe. And to those who less likely to know what is stereotype, it is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. In other words, we make a simple judgement without knowing the truth. We make a judgement by "scanning" the person and judge them by their appearances.

I admit it that some people, including me, are hard to avoid from the stereotypes that is spoken. Well maybe they have been 'molded' on with the stereotype. They believe what they heard, believe what they see. That's why it becomes their belief. Train ourselves to not believe those belief is all what we should do. Just believe that we can do more. People have right to judge us by our appearances, our lifestyle, our attitude, yet they can't make everything in the way they desire. All people in this world have their own way and right to live, have their own lifestyle. So stereotype is a something that no matter what, you have to live in.

Sometimes, bad stereotype on particular race, ethnic, or religion can encourage those people to be vice versa. In my opinion, we as a human beings should respect each other, be supportive, left all the stereotypes and live as a brothers and sisters, as a country and as a family.

All about Critical Literacy.

First view about Critical Literacy

It's the beginning of the fourth semester in this month, and I feel like just finish my first semester. Well, as every sem that went away, it is a usual 'ritual' that a junior ask their last-year senior what subject is killer or this and that before they leaving this college. So, most of my friends ask them about critical literacy, and most of their answer is the same; it is hard if you don't understand. My first thought about this subject was "Wew, that sounds tough hard". I'm quite glad that Madam Za become lecturer of this subject because I knew her in the last two sem. One of the nicest lecturer I ever had. My expectation, well, as the senior says it needs to have a great focus in this subject. But as I am not that type of person, I'll try to ask my friends anything that I missed or in certain cases, I'll just went to see Madam Za.

Most of my experienced senior with this subject do their assignments using Microsoft Words. Using Microsoft Words means it needs to do a lot of typing. Lots of typing means lots of brainstorming. Lots of brainstorming means, well, needs some team work. I do often do a group work for individual assignments with my friends to make that particular task easy to understand in the last past semester. Well, it is 'critical', right? So it is indeed need a teamwork.

At the end of this, I just hope that this subject is not as critical as it is sound. Most my senior says that peace surrounding and understanding is the key to do this subject's assignment. I also hope the my other friends at the other class won't feel burden with this subject. As Madam Za advices us before this, just feel free to ask the lecturer anything you didn't understand.
